More about Rockford Area H.O.U.S.E.

Rockford HOUSE is open to all homeschool families in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. Our principle is to provide homeschooling families with educational and social interaction, and to provide the opportunity to connect and share ideas, information, and give each other encouragement. All educational and religious philosophies are welcomed and respected. The direction of our group is determined by the active participation of our members.

First a support group, our local chapter also chooses to offer classes one day a week. We meet in Rockford from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesdays throughout the year, with breaks during December, March and during the summer. Classes are available for homeschoolers of all ages, from pre-school through highschool. What is offered depends completely on the make-up of our group, but in the past we have held classes on topics ranging from art, to chemistry to Spanish. We also offer fun classes based on the interests of kids in our group -- things like Pokemon, Minecraft and Legos.

Who We Are

H.O.U.S.E. is a network of homeschool groups whose purpose is to support families in exercising their right to homeschool regardless of age, color, creed, ethnic background, family composition, financial condition, gender, learning diasabilities, race, religion (or lack thereof), sexual orientation or educational needs.
